In 1999 the North Iowa Huskies move to Cedar Rapids Iowa and become the RoughRiders.
David Moss was the first RoughRider player to be taken in the NHL draft. Chosen by the Calgary Flames,
he scored his first goal, in his first game, on his first shot

The Steel are is the old Fargo-Moorhead Ice Sharks franchise.
Danny Richmond becomes the first Steel player to make it to the NHL playing for his hometown Chicago BlackHawks
Tom Gilbert was the first Steel player to score an NHL goal, he did it as an Edmonton Oiler on February 20th, 2007

The Buccaneers are one if the League's original (Junior A Season 1980-81) teams.
 Des Moines has won more Junior National Championships than any other team in the league.
Head coach Reg Simon was the first coach to have won a national championship as a player and a coach.
Eric Cole (96-97) was the first ever Buccaneer to hoist the Stanley Cup as the Hurricanes beat the Oilers in seven games

Dubuque Becomes the second USHL expansion team to win the Clark Cup in their first season.

 

 

2009 the first year Force finish as the runner-up in the Clark Cup Championship series.
2010 They finish again, as the runner-up in the Clark Cup Championship series.

It only took Green Bay two seasons to take home all the league hardware, they won the Anderson, Clark and Gold Cups.
Ryan Carter will be the first Green Bay player to have his name on the Stanley Cup as a member of the 2007 Anaheim Ducks.
2008-09 Gamblers change logo and colors to reflect the tradition of Green Bay's first USHL team the Bobcats
2010 the Gamblers win their fourth Anderson Cup and their third Clark Cup

The Ice hold the league's single game attendance record during the 2004-05 season when 14,892 fans Packed the House to
watch the Ice take on the Sioux City Musketeers.

The Stars wasted no time winning the Clark Cup, they did it the very first season in Lincoln.
Chris Porter (02-03) becomes the first NHL player from Sioux City when he becomes a
member of the St. Louis Blues in August of 2007.
Josh Langfeld (96-97) is the first Stars player to see NHL action when he played for the Ottawa Senators

 Omaha enters the league in 1986 making history right away by going 0-48 the first season. They have the last laugh though,
 becoming National Champs two season later. 
After two seasons (1997-98 & 1998-99) as a Lancer, Omaha native Jed Ortmeyer, would become the first
Nebraskan to play in the NHL.
In 2002 they move games to the Iowa side of the Omaha area and become the River City Lancers.
In 2005 they remain in Iowa, but go back to being the Omaha Lancers.
The Lancers are currently owned by hockey legends Mario Lemieux, Luc Robitallie and Mike Eruzone
2009 the Lancers move to their new home, The Civic Auditorium, in downtown Omaha.

Thomas Vanek becomes Sioux Falls first player to be drafted into the NHL.  He was the Buffalo Sabers first round
pick going 5th overall in the 2007 NHL Draft.

The Tri-City area includes the central Nebraska cities of  Kearney, Grande Island and Hastings.
Home games are played in Kearney.
  The Storm (and Vulcans) have won more games (734) than any other USHL team.
May 2008, the team modifies name and alters color scheme to the Nebraska Storm. Fans love the new colors and name!!!! (sorry couldn't resist)
June 2008 the Storm return to original colors and name.


2009-10 Team USA Hockey joins the league with a full USHL schedule incorporating both the U-17 and U-18 teams.

Waterloo was first a member of the USHL Senior League. At the completion of the transition season (79-80) the BlackHawks
              would relocate to Dubuque, IA.  That same time, the Hennipen Nordiques, one of the  League's original (transition years
79-80) teams will move from Minnesota to Waterloo, making the BlackHawks one of the original (Junior A Season 1980-81) teams.
In 2007, Jason Blake's second season in Waterloo (93-94), he became the last USHLer to record a 100 points in a 48 game season

 Austin Mavericks relocate to Rochester in 1985 and become the Mustangs.
2000-01 is the final season for Mustang hockey.

 

  

The Jr. Jackets are the purchased Thunder Bay Flyers franchise.  They enter the league seven seasons after the Flyers final USHL season.
2007-08 is the final season in Columbus. Most of it's players become available to the new franchise the Fargo Force
or through the USHL draft process.



The North Iowa Huskies home town was Mason City, Iowa.  
In 2000 the Huskies will relocate to Cedar Rapids and become the RoughRiders.
Kurt Sauer, 1998-99, is the Huskies first  player to see NHL action

The Vulcans are one if the League's original (transition years 79-80) teams. The Vulcans are also one of the League's
original (Junior A Season 1980-81) teams. In 1995 they move from St Paul and become the Twin City Vulcans. 
In 2000 they relocate to become the Tri-City Storm.
NHL'er Phil Housley, noted as being one of the few players to make the move from high school hockey to the NHL,
played 16 games and scored 26 points for the Vulcans
Starting the 06-07 season the Vulcans (and the Tri-City Storm) had won more games (734) than any other USHL team
 

 

Following the 99-00 season the Sharks would relocate to Illinois and become the Chicago Steel
Ice Shark Tyler Arnason Won the Scoring title during the 97-98 USHL season.
In 2007 Fargo was again awarded a USHL franchise.  The Force will start play the 2008-09 season.

Thunder Bay (ONT) was the League's only foreign based team. Thunder Bay is home to legendary musician Paul Schaffer.

The Flyers Franchise is bought by the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets.  The team would become the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets.
2006-07 is the Jr. Jackets
first season.

 At the completion of the transition season (79-80) the Waterloo BlackHawks would relocate to Dubuque
and become the Fighting Saints. 
The Saints are one of the League's original season (80-81) Junior A teams.
 
In 2001 they relocate to Oklahoma and become the Tulsa Crude.

 


                                     Austin was originally a member of the USHL Senior league. It was also one of the original                                  
                              USHL teams for the 1980-81 season. After the 1984-85 season they would relocate to Rochester, MN.                               

 

 

                   
 In 2003 Topeka  would move to St Louis and
spent one season as the Eagles.
